May 2007 - PrimeNet was recently awarded the contract for the new Anne Arundel County Gambrills Elementary School building. The installation will include voice, data, video, A/V, security, CCTV and master clock cabling and equipment. The school is scheduled to open in July 2008.
May 2007 - PrimeNet was recently awarded a large technology contract at Saint Joseph Medical Center for the new Main Entrance and Heart Institute.
This project includes Category 5e for data, video and voice over IP
applications.
In addition, the award for the security portion which includes
CCTV surveillance cameras and access card controlled doors. This new building is scheduled to open in late 2008.
April 2007 - PrimeNet has been awarded the Maryland State Cable and Wiring Services for the next five years. The award allows PrimeNet to participate as a Master Contractor for Functional Area II (FAII)-Outside Plant Fiber Optic and Communication Cables. FA II Contract will include the installation, relocation, preventive and routine maintenance of outside plant fiber optic and communication cables statewide as defined in Categories I, II & III on the Maryland State Department of Budget and Management website. PrimeNet looks forward to supporting and working with the State of Maryland on this multi-year contract.
March 2007 - Corning Cable Systems LLC, part of Corning Incorporated’s (NYSE:GLW) Telecommunications segment, announces the third winner in its “Golden UniCam Connector” contest. The contest was developed to celebrate the sale of Corning Cable Systems’ 40 millionth UniCam ® Connector since introducing the product in 1993.
Emmett Wilson, a project manager with PrimeNet, Inc. in Glen Burnie, Md., found one of the four specially created “golden” UniCam Connectors that Corning Cable Systems placed into distribution inventory. For finding and redeeming the golden connector, Wilson won a prize package including an LCD television and other prizes valued at approximately $5,000.

Program members are carefully selected and meet Corning’s requirements for technical experience, financial strength and dedication to quality. Membership in the program allows these companies to offer an extended product warranty on installed Corning Cable Systems products.

The RAACE Foundation: A Baltimore-based, non-profit organization dedicated to fighting child sexual abuse by raising public awareness about the epidemic of child abuse and funding educational programs to nationally support local and regional child abuse educational organizations. Local Sports Teams: Spring sports teams are assisted with purchases of uniforms and competition fees. The teams we support have our employees or our employees' children as team members. Teams we have sponsored to date include: Sportboxx Softball in Perry Hall, Maryland; Middle River Wrestling in Baltimore, Maryland; Delaware Madness Softball Team in Smyrna, Delaware; Sidewinders Metro Baseball in Towson, MD, Berkshire United Soccer Team in Baltimore, Maryland, Riviera Beach Softball in Pasadena, MD, Linthicum Rockies Baseball in Linthicum, MD, Forest Hill Storm Metro Baseball in Forest Hill, Maryland, South Carroll Youth Lacrosse based in Mt. Airy, MD, Baltimore Sidewinders 14 & under Baseball based in Towson, MD, Glen Burnie High School’s Athletics program,and the Pen Mar Youth League located in the Waynesboro, Pennsylvania area. PrimeNet provided a banner that was placed on the outfield fence of one of the Pen Mar Youth League's Blue Ridge Summit, PA fields to help support the 2007 Pen Mar baseball and softball programs for children ages 5 thru 18.
Local High Schools: Primo & PrimeNet work with a variety of high schools in our surrounding areas to promote the electrical & telecommunications tradesand encourage students to explore opportunities within the electrical & telecommunications industries. We provide technical insight on a variety of topics and issues facing these trades such as curriculum & program development. Schools include TESST College of Technology, Center of Applied Technology (CAT) North & South, Suitland High School, etc.
Publications for Local Universities & Schools: Primo/PrimeNet supports local Universities & Schools including George Washington University, Morgan State University, CAT North, Calvert Hall High School, etc by placing ads in their school publications.
Adopt-A-Platoon: A non-profit organization managed nationwide by volunteer mothers to ensure that deployed US service members in all branches of the military are not forgotten by providing care packages and much needed encouragement mail. Our employees sold tickets to local sporting events where all the money raised was donated towards a care package including a variety of snack foods, toiletries, and other miscellaneous materials for the troops over in Iraq to show our support of their service.
